Job Summary

The Clinical Pharmacy Services Liaison, under the direction of the Director of Clinical Liaisons, is responsible for providing pharmacy support and pump analytics support for the Fresenius Kabi commercial teams and other departments as needed. This position is part of the implementation team for infusion pumps working with nursing to meet customer needs in pump drug library development, and working with customers to set up, and manage pump-based analytics as part of implementation and on-going customer support. This position is responsible for developing the Drug Library data sets as directed by the customer. This role will provide education to customers in the field on use of our pharmaceutical products within the hospital and alternate site settings. The pharmacy liaison will be an expert in infusion drug therapy, and pump analytics and will reinforce safe medication administration practices. This position functions as an organizational ambassador and applies expertise to support the company's vision and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for developing the Drug Library data sets as directed by the customer. This role will provide education to customers in the field on use of our pharmaceutical products within the hospital and alternate site settings. * Manage pharmacy pump implementation activities to ensure all milestones are met.
* Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Liaison team pharmacy technicians to ensure successful pump and infusion products implementation
* Assist in Clinical training presentations as assigned.
* Assist customers with data set development and revisions by providing thorough training on
* Drug Library Software functionality
* Assists customer in set up, education and on-going support of the software pump analytics system.
* Provide consultation and direct support to hospitals and pharmacists regarding the construction of data sets for the Agilia Infusion System.
* Serve as a subject matter expert for Medication Management configurations in the drug library.
* Gather voice of Customer to assist in the development of software enhancements and future device platforms.
* Schedules and facilitates conference calls, web/video conferencing and customer meetings for all implementations.
* Develop customer educational tools to support pre-sales efforts, system implementation, and ongoing support of the Agilia Infusion System.
* Work with Sales as a member of the clinical team to support customer needs including the delivery of presentations to potential customers to support the business.
* Work with the pharmaceutical division market managers in responding to questions as related to administration of medications.
* Assist with the development of user manuals for Medication Management software.
* Work closely with other departments in various business units to develop best practices and utilization guidelines for Medication Management software.
* Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience as a pharmacist (PharmD, BS Pharm), preferably in an acute care setting within the last 2 years.
* Current licensure as a RPh and maintained throughout employment.
* Domestic travel required; frequent travel approximately 50%-75% (air/ auto) and based on business need.
* Experience in programming a pump and administration of IV medications. Residency/experience in pharmacy informatics preferred; strong knowledge of Dose Error Reduction Software, build procedure, rules, and clinical implications.
* Experience with Infusion Data Reports, continuous quality improvement efforts surrounding smart pump technology preferred
* Prior experience leading a team in the pharmaceutical industry or hospital/pharmacy products preferred.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Superior interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
* Knowledge of Cerner, Epic, or other health/pharmacy information systems preferred
* Understanding of the use of automatic dispensing cabinets and management of medication placement
* Demonstrates proficiency in, project management, planning, execution, and time management.
* Ability to establish rapport and relationships with customers (healthcare providers, hospital administrators) and/or business partners.
* Collaborates with an array of internal stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and advanced skill set with Excel).
* Able to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects with demonstrated time management skills.
* Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.
* Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
