Today, the hospital has 378 licensed beds, a history of technological advancements, and a generous and supportive community. Our St. Francis hospital is seeking a Pharmacist. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Pharmacy Department where you will be responsible for: What You Will Be Doing: Carefully executing each step in the dispensing process according to law, regulatory standards, The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis policies and standard of care to ensure safe and appropriate medication therapy. Perform clinical pharmacist duties in consistent and complete manner using evidence-based medicine to ensure safe, effective and efficient medication therapy. Provide medication education to patients, caregivers and other healthcare providers to accomplish safe, effective and efficient medication therapy. Accountability for efficient use of resources to maintain optimal patient care and fiscal responsibility. So what experience are we looking for in our Pharmacist? Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school. Kansas Board of Pharmacy license (or license-eligible). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification, preferred. Completion of an ASHP approved residency or BPS Board Certification preferred One (1) year prior pharmacy experience preferred. One (1) to two (2) years hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Typing, computer and phone us efficiency. Ability to perform pharmacokinetic calculations. Must possess critical thinking and analysis skills.
