A clinical pharmacist is responsible for conducting clinical pharmacy services and ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal clinical services on a daily basis. A clinical pharmacist works with the clinical pharmacy manager to facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost effective drug therapies.

* Graduate of a school of pharmacy required, PharmD degree preferred (or 2 3 years clinical experience).
* Must have controlled substance certificate valid in the State of Alabama for the current year.
* Licensed Pharmacist or license eligible - must obtain Pharmacy License within 6 months in position.
* PGY1 and PGY2 preferred.
* Board certification preferred.
* Evidence of commitment to continuing education.
* Ability to accurately perform computer order entry duties.
* Proficient in needed pharmaceutical calculations and the metric system.
* Knowledge of aseptic technique.
