HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is a 510 bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center serving North Central Florida for over 49 years. HCA Florida North Florida Hospital offers comprehensive cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, neurosciences, minimally-invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, weight loss surgery and treatment, women's health and wound therapy, among other services. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Pharmacist identifies, resolves, and prevents drug-related problems. Recommends and monitors patient drug therapy and provides drug information. Interacts with other health care providers as appropriate to assure continuity of services and to achieve desired patient outcomes through safe, timely, cost-effective drug therapy. Participates in formal and informal activities that enhance professional development, training of students and residents, and clinical research.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including but not limited to):
  • Prepares and dispenses medication orders.
  • Ensures safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies.
  • Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required
  • Pharmacist license in the State of Florida required
  • ASHP residency preferred
  • Hospital experience preferred
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage and attention to detail.
