Seeking a*Clinical Pharmacist *for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. *In this role you will: *
* Compound and dispense medications and other pharmaceuticals
* Maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispenses accordingly
* Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors and complaints
* Determine and consult on possible drug interactions
* Assist in the supervision and training of pharmacy technician personnel
* Participate in Drug Utilization Review
* Assist with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals
* Monitor, record and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
* Utilize knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities
* Orient and mentor new staff members
*Clinical Pharmacist Required Job Qualifications Include:*
* Graduate of a college of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmacy Education
* BS or Pharm.D degree
* TX State licensure as a Pharmacist
* Minimum two year hospital pharmacy experience required
* IV Certification
* NICU experience preferred
