Job Summary


This position is located at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA.

This position will support Carilion’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Will provide direct/indirect specialized, comprehensive care, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention and collaborative management strategies. Will participate in clinical, educational, leadership, consultant and research activities of service area.  Will provide leadership in the development and implementation of policies and procedures and standards of practice.  Provides 24x7 support for nursing and targeted patient populations.

Minimum Qualifications


Education: . Master's Degree in Nursing required.
 

Experience: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
 

Licensure/Certification: Current nursing licensure and specialty certification. Registration as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the state of Virginia or will obtain within six months of hire.
 

Other:  Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to think globally and communicate a vision.
