Job Summary

Responsible for the daily operations of the clinic to include the provision of quality services to patients, the promotion of teamwork among the staff, maintenance of the building and equipment, compliance with all applicable policies and procedures and operating within the approved budget.

NOTE:  The job classifications of Clinic Manager I and II share this common job description.  The assignment of level and corresponding salary grade is based on the score produced when scope data related to the clinic is entered into the Management Scope Matrix, designed and administered jointly by Human Resources and Clinic Leadership . 

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports..

Minimum Education

High School or Equivalent

Minimum Experience

5 Years - Clerical experience in a healthcare setting.  Must include 2 years at a lead/coordinator level in billing, admissions, scheduling, and/or medical records.  Prefer 1-2 years at a management level.

In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree (Business Administration or related) and 2 years at lead/coordinator level in healthcare billing, admissions, scheduling, and/or medical records.

 For internal GHS candidates:

In lieu of 5 yrs. clerical experience in a healthcare setting = Bachelor D. plus 2-yrs. GHS experience in Mgmt, Finance or Operations     

Other Required Experience

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related - Preferred
