Summary: Responsible for the timely and accurate data entry of patient, prescriber, prescription, and insurance information into the company's Rx processing and eNav™ software. Also responsible for obtaining, processing and adjudicating patient prescription claims to insurance from various disease states coordinated through a central intake environment including oncology, immunology, multiple sclerosis, HIV, transplant, general patient care, and hepatitis by performing the following duties.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required One year of Medical or Pharmacy experience required.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required.


Job Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Acts as liaison between company, patients, insurances, Pharma, and provider's office via phone, fax, and e-mail communications.
  • Accepts prescriptions and makes sure all necessary information including insurance verification is available to process orders.
  • Processes prescriptions through pharmacy dispensing software following all laws for each state for which the medication is being dispensed from.
  • Maintains documentation of calls to and from patients, caregivers, insurances, providers, and Pharma.
  • Keeps current with new treatment trends.
  • Communicates patient status to physician's offices/clinics.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format.
  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners
  • Typing in data provided directly from customers
  • Communicates with patients on an as-needed basis to obtain updated information
  • Interacts with department team members to obtain and/or translate required information
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
