Job Summary:
  • You will be responsible for maintaining medication storage and security as per regulatory requirements throughout the organization
  • You will accurately and safely compound and label medications/parenteral admixtures
  • In this role, you will prepare all work records needed for day at their designated times including the Discontinued, Transfers, and Discharges Lists of parenteral preparations and efficiently processes these reports before they are dispensed to the patient care areas.
  • You must accurately transport medications and other pharmacy supplies in a timely manner to the appropriate areas.
  • You will perform daily ADC routines as assigned (i.e. restocks, outdates, discrepancy resolution, loading and unloading, etc.) and replenish ADCs, emergency cart trays and floor stock accurately and as needed
  • Accurately preparing medications for dispensing and processing medication returns and restocking to the pharmacy, is core to your role.

Qualifications

  • National Certification (CPhT) required
  • Active Registered pharmacy technician, as per State requirements, in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
  • Current BLS upon hire
  • Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrates basic operational knowledge in a moderate range of areas
