Description
We are currently seeking a committed and detail oriented Certified Pharmacy Tech to join our patient focused team who will serve our patients guided by our values of Love & Excellence!

Certified pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records.

Schedule: Various shifts to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

* Assist the pharmacist with filling and labeling prescriptions;
* Prepare the pharmacy inventory with the use of the carousel.
* Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams;
* Prepackage bulk medications;
* Maintain an awareness of developments in the community and pharmaceutical fields that relate to job

responsibilities and integrate them into practice;
* Maintain knowledge of loss prevention techniques;
* All pertinent Pyxis operations
* Unit and Pyxis monthly inspections and reports
* Quick Charge Operation (OTC)
* Crash Cart replacement
* IV preparation through the use of Dose Edge.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable but not required.

Licenses / Certifications: Current Pharmacy Technician certification. Maryland Pharmacy Tech License

Exception: If applicant is currently enrolled and has completed 1 year of professional pharmacy education in a

Doctor of Pharmacy program (ACPE accredited) or has graduated from a Doctor of Pharmacy program

accredited by the ACPE. Pharmacy Intern Registration required.

Experience: At least 2 years as a hospital pharmacy technician preferred.
