Business Relationship Manager (Accounting Services) Compounding Pharmacy industry (Houston, TX)

This opportunity for an individual who has good understanding of financial reporting and accounting skills with sound client relationship management.

  • Key Responsibilities and Duties: Preparing financial reports for senior management to aid strategic decision making by applying principles of accounting to analyze complex financial information and prepare financial reports.
  • Performs period-end financial close responsibilities and preparation data for financial statements, data for quarterly and annual regulatory filings using applicable systems.
  • Performs complex reconciliations for area supported and analyzes resulting variances while providing supervision and guidance to facility buyers to optimize purchasing practices for successful pharmacy inventory management.
  • Works with Pharmacy team to identify drug cost variances on a monthly basis and develop ongoing action plan to better manage those factors that can be controlled at the facility level along with performing miscellaneous pharmacy purchasing cost analysis,
  • Work with pharmacy leadership on operational, clinical and financial analysis as needed and support analytics and dashboard/reporting needs for all division team members
  • Preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budget covering buy profit income, sales and expenses, Interpret vendor contracts to implement accounting procedures for accurate income recognition,
  • Prepare annual tax provision, maintenance of tax basis balance sheet and compilation of tax exposure analysis, and to create and review billing backups, and assist with resolution of aged receivables

Skills/Qualifications: Prior experience in compounding pharmacy is required.
Undergraduate degree (preferably in accounting or a related field), or CPA completed or in progress preferred, Min 3 years of experience in operational accounting.
Must have Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Business Relationship skills

Technology Requirements: Active Email & related tools usage.
Advanced Level Microsoft Office Skills.
Budgeting & Forecasting along with usage of popular analysis tool is an added advantage.
Working knowledge of Net Suite.

Technical Requirements: Familiarity with US GAAP/GAAS/FASB and tax laws will be an added advantage.
