The Business Development team is currently leading the sales process, developing the market, and managing current customers’ and development partners’ progress as they adopt a new technology.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Account management –manage existing accounts and strategically target new customers based upon market analysis. Establish demand for products through initial sales calls, customer meetings, and technical reviews.
  • Analyze markets and new business opportunities. Work with program teams, existing business teams and internal and external resources to develop and recommend strategies for market and product development.
  • Guide customers through value creation to establish additional demand and support pricing strategies.
  • Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical and commercial matters often requiring coordination between departments and organizations.
  • Interact with senior management to review program and secure resources for program execution. • Communicate key customer needs internally to ensure proper positioning of existing products and the roadmap for future product development.
  • Progress customers through the CPT sales cycle through solid follow-up, as well as creatively finding new ways to advance the customer.
  • Track key opportunities in to ensure proper forecasting of sales performance and product needs.


Travel requirement:



Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in science or engineering.
  • MBA or Master’s preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in account management, sales, customer facing role, business strategy analysis and development

  • Strong analytical skills; ability to distill complex sets of information into understandable conclusions and recommendations.
  • Good knowledge of Corning technology and products; working knowledge of business and science and technology organizations.
  • Strong understanding of business drivers for Corning’s markets, and ability to identify good technology fits that will add value in real world applications.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior managers, both internally and externally.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
