Global Support Functions (GSF) IT is searching for an experienced Business Analyst.


The Business Analyst Financial Reporting will work as a member of the GSF IT Digital Technology team. Under the direction of the Account Manager for Advanced Analytics and Financial Reporting, the incumbent will be responsible for partnering closely with key stakeholders in Finance to facilitate discussions that define analytical and reporting requirements that span multiple business processes across the globe. The selected candidate will focus on transforming data/information into insights and actions to help seize business opportunities and solve pressing business challenges. This role also involves working with platform and Client Service Leaders to help develop solutions satisfying these needs.

Major responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Gain deep subject-matter expertise with the key Finance business processes, systems, and data.
  • Organize and participate in scoping discussions for projects in the GSF-IT Analytics Portfolio.
  • Elicit business, functional, and user requirements for analytical solutions using agile/iterative methods.
  • Develop an understanding of the various technology solutions that can be applied to analytical and reporting requirements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business processes and data that support financial management across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with various IT teams to help ensure alignment between business needs and solutions.
  • Serve as primary contact point for questions on business requirements and related questions.
  • Contribute to development and execution of standard SDLC deliverables such as requirements, system testing, user acceptance testing, and change management deliverables.
  • The incumbent must work closely with various stakeholders across GSF, GSF-IT, and the broader IT community to understand key business requirements and align solutions to business and IT strategy.
Qualifications

Education:

  • BA/BS in business management, software engineering, computer science or related field.

Required:

  • Strong experience working with data, developing analyses, and communicating results.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process and technology solutions.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous, ever-changing environment where flexibility and adaptability are highly valued.
  • Experience with developing and defining business processes, key performance indicators, and business capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including collaboration, facilitation and negotiation.
  • Strong continuous improvement focus and mindset.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with finance or commercial sales forecasting.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping or working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
  • An appreciation for advanced analytical techniques such as machine learning, simulation, statistical modeling, etc.
