The Business Administrator develops and supports effective, comprehensive information management critical to analytical and business support for the designated Operational VP and departmental physician chairs.

Responsible for operational reporting, budgetary/financial reporting and financial pro-forma development in collaboration with finance and process improvement activities within the divisions. The Business Administrator organizes services to achieve organizational goals. Responsible for achieving a level of shared operational excellence across designated ancillary service lines by bringing together the resources necessary to continuously improve the delivery of services consistent with Loyola Medicine's standards for patient care, customer service and regulatory compliance.

The Business Administrator develops and provides effective and comprehensive management information for leaders within the designated ancillary service lines. Provides necessary information to ensure optimization of resources. Develops and meets departmental budgets according to established procedures. Ensures effective and efficient utilization of resources. Provides budget information and decision support. Ensures the effective and efficient fiscal operations by developing and implementing financial and operational systems, policies, procedures and controls. Keeps abreast of changes in regulations and guidelines related to reimbursement and ensuring staff is educated and up to date on said changes. Perform cost, volume and productivity analyses.

This position supports clinical faculty strategic recruitment - collaborates with the chairs and the regional department directors where appropriate, supports the strategic recruitment process, including proforma development. Ensures that the faculty application/appointment process is completed in a timely manner (faculty, staff, etc.). Supports on-boarding and off-boarding deliverables for all faculty.

The Business Administrator manages financial operations within the department, including adjudication and monitoring of 3% accounts to ensure that balances remain stable within the guidelines of the institution, grant coordination with the university for sponsored program accounting, effectively communicating with sponsoring grant agencies
