Position Summary:

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a is hiring an Associate Pharmaceutical Technician. At the direction of the Supervisor or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Lead, the Associate Pharmaceutical Technician is responsible for training and performing efficient set up / tear down, manufacture and cleaning of all equipment and processes associated with manufacturing operations with direct supervision or partnership with a Pharmaceutical Technician, Senior Pharmaceutical Technician or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Lead. The Associate Pharmaceutical Technician is responsible for adhering to policies and procedures with an emphasis on regulatory related processes such as SOPs, cGMP and safety in compliance with the CFRs and meets the business needs of the organization.

This is a full-time role position: Monday - Friday, days.

The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. The Role

* Responsible for ensuring cGMP compliance and generally good housekeeping.
* Ensures 5S standards are met and maintained.
* Ensures that the facility is kept "tour ready" at all times and people/material/flow/cleaning and zone concepts are maintained at all times.
* Ensures product is visually inspected to ensure quality requirements are thoroughly met.
* Ensures that all Catalent safety procedures are followed and identifies/communicates the necessary adjustments to address potential safety concerns. Will also ensure the proper use of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
* Ensures that assigned operational areas of control are processing under GMP conditions and applicable SOP's are being strictly followed
* Ensures that training is up to date and progressing for core group requirements with direction from Senior Pharmaceutical Technician or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Lead.
* Focuses on building proficiency with business-critical equipment within core group while maintaining high quality standards
* Provides information to support core group metrics and efficiency increases.
* Strives to drive reductions in unplanned deviations and focuses on troubleshooting identified equipment malfunctions under the supervision of a Senior Pharmaceutical Technician or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Lead.
* Responsible for informing Senior Pharmaceutical Technician or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Lead of work orders to be placed for processing rooms and equipment within core group.
* Associate Pharmaceutical Technician should have high ability to learn batch records to ensure clarity and drive accuracy for processing.
* Supports customer requests as needed.

The Candidate

* A high school diploma is required. May substitute equivalent years of pharmaceutical manufacturing supervisory experience for education
* 1+ years of experience with Pharma or cGMP manufacturing environment preferred
* Must have a thorough knowledge of cGMP, FDA, MHRA and DEA guidelines and how to apply them effectively
* Thorough knowledge of Solid Dosage manufacturing preferred.
