Associate Director Field Sales Leadership Development 




The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director Field Sales Leadership Development, are to: 


  • Partner with the client facing, Human Resouces Business Partners, and line executives;

  • Manager vendors with strong communication and facilitation skills;

  • Design and deliver leadership programs to support the needs of the field sales business units;

  • Create leadership onboarding and transition activities that result in effective and efficient leadership growth and movement;

  • Support field based frontline managers or field based manager of managers on their development needs;

  • Integrate leader and career development initiatives into broader field based talent management framework, building bench strength for the sales leadership teams;

  • Manage vendor relationships when using external resources for design and execution of programs;

  • Build and manage learning analytics to measure learning pull through, impact to our talent bench strength, impact and Return on Investment;

  • Integrate analytics to guide & drive future learning and development strategies, idenitfy needs through assessment methodology and approach;

  • Ensure that all field based leadership development processes and initiatives are innovative, and support business units on the platform;

  • Drive the ongoing continuous improvement and management of all field based leadership and professional development programs / initiatives.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree;

  • First Line Leadership and Talent Development Expertise with a minimum of five to eight years of experience in pharmaceutical or device organizations;

  • Minimum of three years as a sales consultant or device sales person;

  • Experience designing or tracking training metrics that measure learning;

  • Demonstrated knowledge in:
    • Leadership or career development;
    • Change Management as well as project management;
    • Assessment and Feedback instruments (i.e. Insights, DISC, 360 Feedback, Hogan Development, etc.);
    • Learning Design and Adult Learning Methodology;
    • Coaching, Mentoring and Development Planning Practices as well as evaluation and measurement methods.
