The Associate Director, HR Talent Management Solutions Lead has responsibility for design and delivery of HR Solutions and systems in support of Talent Management and Recruiting & Staffing processes. This position manages a small team responsible for working with suppliers, internal IT, and the Talent Management and Talent Acquisition organizations to manage annual process cycles, enhancements and upgrades to current HR systems enabling these areas. This position works closely with the Talent Acquisition and Talent Management organizations and process leads to identify and recommend alternative solutions, leveraging existing HR tools and technologies. The individual is responsible for collaborating with peers within the organization and accountable for the implementation of agreed upon recommended solutions. The individual must be able to influence across multiple levels of the organization, work with HR operations leaders and internal/external partners to drive change and tangible improvements.


Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Participates in strategy/process design sessions to consult on solutions (both existing and new) that will best achieve desired strategic outcomes
  • Participation in strategic programs and accountable for small projects, implementing new features, enhancements & upgrades, supporting annual Talent processes, and ensuring support & environment issues are resolved. 
  • Accountable for continuous operational improvements in delivery & tactical operations
  • Responsible for release management & deployment processes of system configuration and accountable for ensuring required testing and operational documentation are kept up to date. 
  • Builds team of required partners to implement defined solution (e.g. IT, System Vendor, Implementation Partner); Supplier Management (if applicable)
  • Creates/updates required Data Privacy forms for all relevant objects requiring data; work with Data Privacy Office and data steward to obtain Local and Global Data Privacy and works council approvals. 
  • Works with process/functional lead and test leads to define test strategy and test plan and ensure execution of user testing. 
  • Day to day management of operational team across responsible functional areas
The Associate Director, HR Talent Management Solutions Lead operates in a complex and matrix environment and is expected to apply HR functional and operational expertise to drive performance. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished HRIS team lead with experience working globally and established credibility in delivery and enabling strategies within a large and complex organization. The individual will have a track record that demonstrates the following competencies:
  • Ability to quickly assess business needs to identify opportunities where HR/HRIS processes or systems can further the strategy, or streamline processes. 
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems and translate HR/HRSS issues clearly and articulately into business terms. Business Analyst capability with proven ability to translate business processes into functional system requirements and solutions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver as a team leader on large HR systems implementation programs
  • Experience managing an operational team

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an HRIS, IT, HR Operations function
  • Implementation or operational management experience in one of the following HCM Cloud software providers: SuccessFactors, Oracle, or Workday
  • Project leadership expertise, managing in a deadline driven environment and proven ability to deliver as a team leader on large HR systems implementation programs. 
  • Experience leading an HR functional or technical operational team
  • Initiative, creativity, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, technical, problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated competencies in relationship management, facilitation, influencing skills, and working globally as well as cross functionally.
  • A team-oriented style and a collaborative approach to getting work done
  • Ability to be hands-on and entrenched in the details when necessary 
  • Ability to seek direction when needed as well as in working independently / self-directed with limited and / or an evolving set of available information
  • Strong understanding of and appreciation for data privacy concepts and principles (e.g., importance of securing data at rest and in transit, ensuring data is used in a way that is consistent with the intended purpose).
Preferred:
  • Talent Management (Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent Management) process experience
  • Direct people management experience
