Job Summary
Participates in Carolinas HealthCare Foundation activities including grants and contracts, development, and communications.

Essential Functions
  • Assists in the development and implementation of organizational processes and procedures for external funding support of CHS programs and projects.
  • Conducts background research, prepares necessary documents, and assists in writing grant and contract proposals. Reviews all grant proposals prior to obtaining final approvals.
  • Conducts searches for appropriate external funding sources and disseminates information about funding opportunities to designated team members.
  • Maintains records and files to track all grant and contract submissions.
  • Acts as liaison with agencies who have issued awards or contracts to CHS, negotiates budget modifications, terms and conditions as part of pre-award activities.
  • Assists team members in seeking and obtaining philanthropic support for CHS programs and projects.
  • Maintains CHS Foundation website with frequent updates, and develops and maintains computer based notification system for grant opportunities.
  • Assists with coordination and manages special events, interacts with vendors, donors, and hospital staff as appropriate.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of CMC campus and other CHS facilities.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to adjust work schedule as necessary. Frequent movement among campus building and facilities is part of normal daily function. Required to work in a variety of locations and under varied conditions.

Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelors Degree strongly preferred. 3-5 years professional fund development and advancement experience is suggested.
