Creighton University, a Catholic Jesuit institution, invites applications for a full-time nontenure clinician educator track faculty position in our Doctor of Pharmacy program at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor on the Phoenix Health Sciences campus. The faculty member, along with Phoenix pharmacy faculty colleagues, will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of the Dispensing and Pharmaceutical Care laboratory series across the didactic curriculum in the Phoenix hybrid pathway. Students in the Phoenix hybrid pathway will complete laboratory experiences in each professional year of the didactic curriculum, concurrently with the Omaha campus pathway. In addition, this position will work with faculty on both the Phoenix and Omaha campuses to assist in coordination and assurance of accreditation-required parity between campuses. Other responsibilities include teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum, academic advising of students, contributing to interprofessional pharmacy practice, scholarly activity, school, university, and community service, and student recruitment efforts in the Phoenix area.

Candidates must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Arizona. Residency or equivalent pharmacy practice experience is required. Work and clinical experience in hospital and/or ambulatory practice with a working knowledge of pharmacy software systems, sterile compounding techniques, MTM processes, immunizations, patient assessment techniques, and patient counseling is required. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with multiple and diverse individuals. Certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties is preferred.

The new Creighton Health Sciences Phoenix campus includes degree programs in medicine, physician assistant, nursing, pharmacy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
