JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Assists in the development and implementation of program initiatives which may include the preparation of briefing materials, reports, correspondence and other documents, performing research, developing and maintaining databases, and developing promotional materials.
* Communicates with national and possibly international program contacts.
* Tracks program expenditures, and may participate in the budget preparation process.
* May draft, edit and process grant proposals.
* Prepares and distributes reports.
* Coordinates logistical arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel.
* Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS: In collaboration with the Director and Creative Producer, the Assistant Program Coordinator is responsible for:• Developing and implementing creative programmatic offerings that serve Science Gallery's primary audience (youth between the ages of 15 and 25) and other segments that Science Gallery engage through its Atlanta-based networks.• Devising and tracking metrics that serve Science Gallery, Science Gallery's partners and external communities as well as Emory University's research enterprise. • With the project management and operations lead(s), managing and updating the CRM and other databases to track participants, partners, vendors, and other contributors to Science Gallery's programmatic success.• Managing and implementing the social and traditional marketing campaigns to invite diverse audiences to Science Gallery programs; leveraging knowledge of communication channels at formal and informal educational organizations to broaden Science Gallery's outreach to youth.• Assisting in the development of training curriculum for Science Gallery's Mediator program; training Mediators as requested.• Serving as the primary point of contact (PoC) for Science Gallery International's Youth Symposium and other network-wide programmatic initiatives.• Managing the logistics, vendors, contracts, and run-of-show for each virtual, hybrid and in-person program, ensuring that Science Gallery delivers its mission of engaging audiences through the intersection of arts and science consistently and of the highest quality.• Serving as an ambassador for Science Gallery with youth, teachers, community partners, funders, etc., modeling and exemplifying Science Gallery's shared values of equity and inclusion in all aspects of the Gallery's internal and external work; advocating for communities and voices that are frequently underrepresented in the arts, sciences and research enterprise.• Bringing empathy, curiosity, and drive to collaborations and relationships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience managing and training youth and students.
* Demonstrated commitment to social impact work, either through school/ class projects or work experience.
