The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead Small Projects
  • Create/improve support documentation
  • Provide mentoring and training to IT technicians
  • Oracle solution analysis, design, development, testing and deployment
  • Visual Studio analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and source control
  • Partner with third party organizations to analyze, design, develop, test, deploy and document IT solutions as required
  • Provide training and support to users of IT software
  • Responsible for support and maintenance of existing Integrated Manufacturing Systems and other custom business software
  • Other duties as required

Travel Requirements:  Occasional domestic travel will be required

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2 years IT related experience
  • Visual Studio proficiency
  • SQL Structured Query Language proficiency
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
