The team includes Application & Clinical Analysts, Business Intelligence Analysts, Access & Revenue Cycle Analysts, Credentialed Trainers, Instructional Designers, Software Engineers, and their management. RESPONSIBIILTIES:

We are seeking a skilled Application Analyst to work on the ongoing support and build of the Epic Home Health Billing application. The Application Analyst serves as a liaison between users and the MIT Epic Home health team. The analyst utilizes knowledge of the client’s clinical or business requirements, performs an in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with Epic software. The analyst must possess a full understanding of the PPS and non-PPS Home Health Billing revenue cycle and the revenue cycle as it pertains to Epic. The analyst will perform support functions pertaining to RAP, Billing, Claims, Payment Posting, insurance and guarantor follow-up, remittance processing, denial management, management reporting, and dashboards.

 

This Analyst prepares detailed requirements specifications and provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems and procedures that meet user requirements. The Analyst reviews and tests new releases and documents all outcomes of testing and serve as the support contact for the application. This position has responsibility within all phases of the application upgrades including design, build, test, installation and maintenance of the application.

 

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • A minimum of 3 years working in a clinical, healthcare business, or technical position
  • Knowledge of Charges, Claims, Statement and Remittance, RTE and Batch Eligibility
  • Background with work queue processing, dashboards, and reports
  • Programming or other technical skills
  • Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to organize one’s work, plan and prioritize, work to a scheduled list of deliverables, maintain an issues list, and record decisions for future reference
  • Application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience beneficial
  • Experience dealing with end users
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • The Application Analyst must attend Epic training and meet the requirements for certification

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience
