Perform professional, basic accounting services for corporate holding company and/or 20+ diverse subsidiaries in a healthcare setting.  Prepare Carilion financial statements for internal and external users in a timely, efficient, accurate and cost effective manner.  Adhere to internal controls to ensure the integrity of Carilion's financial statements.  This is achieved by performing monthly reconciliations and other responsibilities listed below.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with concentration in accounting.

Experience: Entry level position.  Experience not required, though 1-2 years preferred.

Licensure/Certifications/Registration: CMA or CPA designation or exam qualification preferred but not required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: General knowledge of PCs and office equipment.  Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, spreadsheet and word processing software, with Microsoft Windows/Excel/Word preferred.  Requires good writing skills, interpersonal skills, and good analytical skills.
