Seeking an intern to execute  and evaluate performance of  Business Continuity Plans for Merck’s GlobalRegulatory Affairs and Clinical Safety (GRACS) sub-division (approx. 1700staff). Additional activities may include: 

  • Assess preparednessof GRACS functional areas to initiate and execute on Business Continuity Plans.
  • Participate in,record results of, and report on GRACS Business Continuity exercises andprovide key observations from these exercises.
  • Providerecommendations to GRACS functional areas on improvements and revisions toBusiness Continuity Plans.
  • Identify industrystandards, techniques, and tools for Business Continuity Planning andexercising of such plans.
  • Otheropportunities to leverage Business Continuity Planning for useful insightsinto our business.



  • Candidates must be currently enrolled pursuing an undergraduate degree with a major/minor in business or similar field
Required Experience:
  • Candidates mustbe available for 10-12 week internship beginning May/June 2018
  • Candidates musthave experience working with and analyzing datasets (quantitative andqualitative)
  • Candidates must have experience with MS Office (specifically: Excel, Access,PowerPoint)
Preferred Experience:
  • Business operations mindset
  • Motivated, Independent, Out-of-the-box thinker
  • Experience ina business planning and/or project management role
  • Experience with project management software
  • Specific interest in pharma and/or regulatory and safety
  • Process improvementmindset
