The University of Miami/UHealth UMHC/SCCC at Doral has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Pharmacy.

SUMMARY

The Manager, Pharmacy provides managerial and programmatic direction for the operation of pharmacy services. An employee in this position coordinates and develops standards of work performance, and plans, directs, and monitors the provision of distributive and clinical pharmacy services to all patient care areas. Additionally, the Manager, Pharmacy ensures that the functions of the department are consistent with hospital policies and procedures.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Develops goals, objectives, and programs for the pharmacy department that align with the organization's overall strategic plan.

Adheres to approved departmental policies, standard practices of the profession, and state and federal laws.

Implements decisions of pharmaceutical, therapeutic, and hospital committees.

Defines and resolves issues with the medication distribution system and continually evaluates performance relative to need for expansion or revision within the healthcare facility.

Leads the development and implementation of innovative systems of medication delivery and drug therapy monitoring.

Provides leadership and direction to the pharmacy staff.

Promotes positive customer r elations and contributes to a supportive and team-driven work environment within the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Pharm.D. degree

Licensure/Certifications:

Valid Florida Pharm.D license

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of Hospital/Oncology experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

+ Knowledge of business and management principles

+ Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations

+ Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan

+ Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others

+ Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others
