Basic Qualification
• Financial / business development or strong commercial background, ideally from a big 5 consulting firm
• Demonstrated leadership skills including prioritisation and delegation of Project Team-related activities
• Demonstrated effective communications skills for a wide variety of senior management audiences,
• Demonstrated soft skills in effectively delivering work programs in a matrix environment, ability to influence and effectively progress/chase specific project related issues
• Ability to chair subcommittees/task-forces of Project Teams
• Experience in writing board level papers will be useful
• Passion and understanding of strategic project management processes and their impact on individual projects.
• Educated to post graduate degree level (Masters / Science degree (Biomedical, Pharmacy, Chemistry) or Commercial / Business degree or related discipline and experience.

Project management has been identified through research conducted in GSK and by KPMG to be a critical success factor in the efficient management of business development activities (Acquisition, Divestment, Licensing etc) The primary focus of this job is to provide expert project management support to global business development projects. Global Strategic Projects (GSP) are the ‘executional arm’ of the fastest growing consumer healthcare company in the world, the head of GSP reports directly to the President of a multi-billion pound company, they project manage all major strategic projects; new product development, geographic expansion and vitally new business. The job holder will be a key player in the CH WWBD team. |

| Requirements |
Preferred Qualification
• Chartered acountantant / CIMA or strong business development experience
• Good first degree
• Ideally Post Graduate Degree level (e.g. MBA, masters, PhD) and 10+ years of commercial or R&D and multi dimensional management experience in a Consumer Healthcare Environment. |
