Description
Basic Qualification
3 years experience working in a preclinical DMPK laboratory setting.
Hands-on experience conducting pharmacokinetic studies. Ability to perform dosing via various (iv, po, ip, sc) routes to rodents.
Experience in design and conduct of in vitro ADME-related studies
Experience with pharmacokinetic modelling and working knowledge of Winnonlin

The Pattern Recognition Receptor Discovery Performance Unit is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics group. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of DMPK studies conducted in support of the DPU’s discovery programs, including protocol generation, study conduct, data analysis/reporting, and communication of results to program teams.


Responsibilities will include:

Performance of all aspects of in vivo pharmacokinetic studies in preclinical species, (e.g. mice, rats), including dose preparation and administration by various routes, and collection of blood, urine and tissue samples by both automated and manual methods.

Performance of in vitro DMPK assays, including intrinsic clearance and plasma protein binding, determination of free fraction in blood in various species.

Analysis of biological samples by LC/MS/MS.

Data analysis using various software packages, and generation of reports for communication of data to program teams.

Collaboration with colleagues to coordinate study schedules and ensure laboratories and instruments are properly maintained
Requirements
Preferred Qualification
Hands-on experience conducting pharmacokinetic studies in non-rodents (dogs and non-human primates)
Experience in bioanalysis for various matrices using LC/MS/MS systems
Previous experience with automated laboratory system (TECAN, Culex automated blood samplers)
