Description
Basic Qualification
Degree in chemistry or closely related discipline and five or more years of relevant experience providing chromatographic trace level analysis in Preclinical Development or similar environment. Requires meticulous lab skills, strong attention to detail, a solid organic chemistry background, strong problem solving skills, and a basic knowledge of mass spectrometry detection. Must have a good working knowledge of chromatography and routine analytical testing and experience developing and validating chromatographic methods. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work effectively to tight timelines in a multidisciplinary team are also required.
Details
Provide trace (low ppm) level analysis of potential genotoxins in API and drug product for Preclinical Development projects across all phases of development including:
•developing and validating trace level analytical methods, typically HPLC or GC with mass spectrometry detection
•analyzing samples for batch release and process and route development
•accurately documenting all experimental work and results in a timely manner
•contributing to the ongoing evaluation and implementation of technologies and work processes to improve business and operational efficiency
•interacting and communicating effectively with customers, collaborators and group members
•complying with all departmental and corporate safety and quality policies and regulations
Requirements
Preferred Qualification
Operational knowledge of LC/MS and GC/MS instruments and troubleshooting skills are a plus. Grade level will be determined by skill level and qualifications.
