| Description |
|
The Systems Analyst, GIS Application Development focuses on the support of the scientific user community for all laboratories including FDA compliance to improve and maintain overall workflow and scientific data security. The individual must be able to apply technical skills in Laboratory Information Systems Management (LIMS) and information systems and programming to work across disciplines especially in the area of drug metabolism pharmacokinetics (DMPK) to design, configure, implement and administer software systems. A qualified individual will work with complex scientific applications relating to architectures, data structures, storage systems and archiving, and will apply skills in laboratory and scientific data analysis using software such as SCIEX LC-MC/MS, instrument interface with LIMS to develop tools and systems to increase productivity in the lab and provide input on system design and implementation methodology.

| Requirements |
|
Duties include:
•analyze data workflow and help to develop systems to improve or automate scientific data acquisition and reports;
•serve as Systems Administrator for upgrades and training for deployed scientific systems;
•validate systems according to the Department’s standard operating procedures and follow the software development life cycle to implement systems for bio-analytical scientists;
•help to define technical processes for computerized scientific applications;
•plan, design and implement computer systems, including system configurations to support scientists and troubleshoot technical problems related to scientific applications; and
•support and maintain GLP systems such as LIMS, applying an understanding of FDA regulations for drug development.
Minimum requirements are:
Master’s degree in either information systems or in chemistry or a related life science. |
