| Description |
Basic Qualification Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of relevant experience Details As part of the Business Development and Licensing (BD&L) team, the objective of the successful candidate will be to support the licensing activities of Stiefel through externalization and in-licensing, M&A and co-promotional. The successful candidate will be Responsible for: 1. Identifying potential business development opportunities 2. Where appropriate co-ordinate pitch meetings to partners with assets of strategic interest to Stiefel-GSK. 3. Assist in providing a business development context to the therapeutic area strategy. 4. Assist with leading a Stiefel-GSK Matrix team to carry out a technical evaluation of potential business development opportunities; organize due diligence teams that further interrogate the technical and IP profile of potential in-licensing candidates 5. Assist with leading a Stiefel-GSK R&D Matrix team to ensure comprehensive technical/IP evaluation of a licensing or collaboration opportunity is prepared for approval by senior GSK management (SAB, TIB, PMB, CET and other stakeholder meetings as required.) Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the technical components of recommendations and proposals for business development for senior management that are informative, concise and issue focused. 6. Maintain thorough knowledge (and database) of products in development throughout the industry, industry trends, regulatory, legal and commercial issues, science as it relates to clinical, aesthetic and consumer dermatology, including gaps and strengths. |

| Requirements |
Preferred Qualification -strong knowledge of biological mechanisms is desired - good understanding of the drug development process is essential and candidates should have represented their line function on Project Teams. -familiarity with the process of technical due diligence and likely technical and Intellectual Property issues encountered during the due diligence process would be ideal. -highly effective organization/time management and oral and written communication skills are required. -Travel is a condition of the role and international travel will be required. -professional credibility as evidenced by publications and presentations. -highly effective communication, facilitation and influencing skills. Ability to influence across boundaries and excellent team working skills are essential. -demonstrated ability to autonomously manage workload and priorities. -familiarity with the competitive pipeline landscapes of pharmaceutical and biotech companies in dermatology essential in this role. -some degree of financial acumen to appropriately structure technical risk profile to assist in the contracting and term sheet processes is required. -expert verbal and written skills as evidenced by providing effective communication to external conferences or GSK committees are necessary. -strong record of effective decision-making and of taking intelligent risks |
