Details
The purpose of the Community Pharmacy Liason will be to implement community pharmacy-based initiatives that are aligned to shared GSK and retail chain HQ objectives. This team will focus 100% of their efforts on community pharmacy and will serve as the GSK point of contact for community pharmacists. The primary function will be to work with community pharmacists at the store level to encourage / support patient interventions that result in better patient care. The primary objectives are to increase sales of GSK products by encouraging prevention and appropriate utilization of drug therapies (e.g. adherence).
The CPL will call on community pharmacy (retail) customers across approximately 60-100 MSAs (metropolitan statistical area). Support will be offered to all retail pharmacy sites within a given CBSA in order to ensure compliance with the Robinson-Patman act. Stores will be excluded if they are a part of a chain that opts not to have CPAS call on their stores. Activity will be provided at the individual pharmacy level and in some cases will involve activity at the district level (for chains). Note - HQ level interaction continues as the remit of the Channel Sales team under John Phillips.
Requirements
Preferred Qualification
Healthcare Education (e.g. RN, NP, PA, RPh or PharmD)
•Demonstrated analytical skills
•Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills
•Ability to engage in dialogue across portfolio with a pharmacist
•Knowledge of healthcare industry and pharmacy
•Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills
•Proven record of effective execution of top-down strategies
•Professional Technical Knowledge
•Able to travel in Territory, as necessary; geography size may vary.
•Prior sales experience (desired)
•Direct retail pharmacy-related experiences preferred
•Direct experience as a healthcare professional preferred
