Description
Basic Qualification
Medical Degree (MD) with demonstrated record of accomplishment in clinical medicine and/or pharmaceutical industry clinical development II-IV. Communication, influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment required.
Details
Ability to seamlessly interact within and across different disciplines is crucial. Publications (peer review and abstracts) are expected. An attending physician role in a cancer center and academic qualifications suitable for faculty status and hospital privileges at on of the area's medical schools are highly desirable, as are training and faculty positions at highly regarded training institutions. Prior industry experience is advantageous.
Demonstrated strong leadership abilities and excellent presentation skills. Team oreinted with matrix expsure.
Responsible for motivating the medical affairs team in the development of product strategy, design and implementation of medical programs to support those strategies.
Defmonstrated track record of quality decision making and creative problem resolution that impacts program/project direction. Able to provide leadership in medical governance to include study design, protocol writing, aderse experience reporting and medical aspects of study conduct as related to the North American regional activity. May also include investigator identification for clinical trials.
Requirements
Preferred Qualification
Prefer US Board Certification in oncology, pediatric oncology, hematology, immunology or radiation oncology. 7+ years of drug development experience or related academic experience with experience in the conduct of Phase II-IV clinical trials.
