| Description |
Basic Qualification •Masters Degree and minimum 10 years of directly relevant experience in commercial pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or medical device industry experience. •5 years of experience in US market including experience across in-line and pipeline/business development areas. •At least 5 years line management experience. •Prior experience as an equity analyst covering the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries. •New product forecasting and competitive intelligence experience. •Prior experience in financial analysis, resource allocation. •Understanding of payer customers and environment. •Market research experience across inline/pipeline and across customers (payer, provider, consumer). •Experience leading large cross functional initiatives with significant business impact spanning mulitple departments in the organization. •Ability to work with commercial organization (marketing/sales) as well as significant experience working with R&D organizations. •Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and client handling skills, demonstrated through management or consulting experience. •Proven ability to seek, monitor, and interpret customer needs, and to manage and negotiate customer expectations at all levels of management. •Ability to work under tight timelines and prioritize, allocate resources, influence and coordinate across boundaries, and manage projects to deliver the greatest possible value to the company. •Proven ability to develop specific recommendations, influence executive management and others through logical, illustrated presentations, and shepherd decisions into action. •Effective team and project leader, with the proven ability to work with multi-discipline skills and levels in the organization. Details •Assessment of the business dynamics (e.g., shift in customer behavior), key trends in the environment and market. •Guidance for strategic planning – including benchmarks and performance indicators. •Lead competitive intelligence across customers and stakeholders. •Guide the organization on strategic priorities in the changing business environment. •Assessment of the external corporate strategy landscape. •Industry benchmarking of financial, strategic and operational metrics. •Maintains a comprehensive and current understanding of relevant therapeutic markets, ensuring that this understanding is effectively utilized to deliver prognostic insights to brand management and senior executives throughout the organization. •Strategic partner to business development organization by providing analysis, market research, financial analysis, forecasting support, portfolio impact, and insights in support of business development activity. •Guide the organization on optimal investment levels across portfolio, business units, channels, and assets. •Development of sophisticated optimization models to provide resource allocation recommendations, including incorporation of risk. •Evaluation of business decisions and scenario planning analysis.
Position can be based at RTP or Philadelphia. |
