Basic Qualification -Bachelor degree -3 years analysis, data reporting or database marketing experience Details Job Purpose: •To provide support for the development and subsequent tracking of brand strategies and objectives through the interpretation integration of primary and secondary data & research.Demonstrated: •Ability to interpret business questions and consult with primary stakeholders to identify business questions. •Ability to work with multiple data sources and identify the most efficient and accurate response to business needs. •Ability to design analytical responses to business questions, and manage projects to their completion/delivery. •Ability to interpret primary research findings and integrate with secondary data. •Project management skills, including the prioritization of multiple tasks from multiple requestors. •Exceptional communication and analytical business writing skills. •Analytical skills, therapeutic knowledge, attention to detail, commitment to quality assurance. •Flexibility to work with cross-functional teams and global partners. Proficencey in excel, SAS or Access to manipulate and query data sets •D1: Ability to conduct primary marketing research
Key Responsibilities: •Consult with Marketing and CA directors and managers to interpret business questions and translate analytical needs to Data Management, Global MACSolutions (gMACS) partners and any other third-party stakeholders. Acts as primary onshore liaison with gMACS. •Understand and identify the appropriate data sources which will provide the best analytical response to Commercial Analysis & Marketing business questions. •Develop and manage analytical projects, integrating primary research data and information as needed. •Ensure timely and accurate delivery of value added standard and custom analysis to Commercial Analysis & Marketing stakeholders, including insights, conclusions and recommendations as appropriate. •D1: As needed, design and execute primary research
Accountability: •Timely and accurate delivery of complex, custom analyses aligned to brand strategies. •Brand support for the strategic planning process (i.e. Situation Analysis, Key Learning Areas, Patient Potential Towers, etc.). •Supports multiple (3-8) brands and therapy areas •Direct reports (onshore): D2 – 0, D1 - 0-2. Indirect reports (offshore): 1-3
Complexity: Primary: •Collaborate with Commercial Analysis, Marketing, Data Management, data vendors, gMACS partners and other third party vendors to achieve Commercial Analysis, therapeutic area and brand objectives. •Act as a therapeutic area data and analytical consultant across all other departments including: Marketing, Commercial Decision Support, Data Management, Finance, Forecasting, other MACS partners, third party vendors and research groups. •Integrate therapeutic area knowledge with primary research knowledge and secondary data expertise to conceptualize and implement meaningful and value-add analyses relating to brand strategies, tactics, opportunities, and risks. •Based on secondary data, provide analysis to help design and determine the need for marketing research •Interact with Data Management and gMACS partners to prioritize and manage both data and analytical requests. •Own and manage secondary data business rule requirements for therapeutic area including the characterization of market(s), products, physician/patient variables, etc. •Present analyses and/or performance updates with guidance of Commercial Analysis team members as necessary to Marketing. •Prioritize multiple tasks from multiple requestors. Interact directly with both Commercial Analysis and Marketing. Secondary: •Access and manipulate information from various data sources, which may include primary research data, CRx data, internal database information, Rx data, IMS and DDD data. •With direction and guidance from the Commercial Analysis Team members, as well as expert technical groups, provide basic analyses using cross tabs and basic statistical techniques via database manipulation tools, such as Excel, Access, or other statistical packages. |
