Basic Qualification • BA/BS in advertising, marketing or related discipline • Line experience in marketing or marketing agency or digital marketing ? 7+ years of digital marketing experience – managing the planning, development and measurement, across a broad mix of digital media with an understanding of direct and brand marketing principles. * Budget management Details Job Purpose: Digital Marketing Manager for Health Information Technology (HIT) is a member of the Digital Marketing and Media Department and responsible for the planning, development and institutionalization of digital marketing initiatives for US Pharmaceuticals that will enable GSK to gain competitive advantage in category, portfolio and brand strategy. The Digital Marketing Manager for HIT works with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute digital marketing strategies that simultaneously meet the needs of our customers and the business.
Key Responsibilities: • Perform landscape analyses of existing and emerging HIT services such as ePrescribing, Electronic Health Records and Patient Health Records to identify strategic opportunities that meet the needs of the business and comply with US regulations specific to Pharmaceutical Marketing • Develop and present HIT business cases to senior management for scalable opportunities that will increase our reach and engagement with healthcare professionals, consumers and patients • Establish general guidelines and standard operating procedures to facilitate brand level execution • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to launch new content delivery models for GSK • Provide key insight and input into the negotiation of new business models that grow the GSK business while delivering value to our customers • Manage relationships with companies that are industry leaders in HIT implementation and pharmaceutical partnering • Communicate Best Practices for HIT and establish KPIs to measure overall program success and uncover key learnings to improve future HIT initiatives • Advise Business Units and affiliated brand teams on their HIT strategies |

| Requirements |
Preferred Qualification • MBA or other advanced degree in business • Digital agency or pure-play experience • Digital content syndication experience • Medical / pharmaceutical industry regulatory environment, organizing principles and business models. • Media planning and buying principles and process for mass media and direct marketing campaigns • Direct-to-consumer and direct-to-patient advertising and/or marketing activities. • Direct-to-physician advertising and/or marketing activities. • Proven negotiation skills and ability to interact successfully with all customer levels • Track record of developing relationships with senior marketers both on and offline • Proven integrated communications experience and an understanding of the importance of digital communications as part of an integrated strategy • Passion for new and emerging technologies and an understanding of how they can be applied to benefit businesses
Required Skills/Experience: ? Working knowledge of the principles and success factors of traditional and digital marketing channels • Understanding of ePrescribing, Electronic Health Records, Patient Health Records and other emerging disciplines in the area of HIT • Proven ability to rapidly assimilate new concepts involving digital marketing delivery and measurement • Project management and proven ability to lead cross functional teams in a matrix environment • Demonstrated ability to project manage multiple, parallel projects • Strong ability to identify technical solutions to business problems/needs. • Experience working in positions with high personal accountability combined with the ability and experience to influence decision-making. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Previous product development experience • Proven negotiation skills and ability to interact successfully with all customer levels • Experience in Budget management |
