We are currently looking for an engaging and astute IT Project Manager to join our Commerical team in Abbotsford.
The main responsibilities include:
• Projects delivered successfully to the commercial business areas to enable those organisations to deliver the desired business benefit within the agreed time, cost, scope, and quality. • Systems developed in compliance with GSK IT and regulatory standards including validation • Implemented best practices around utilisation of shared services • Maintain progress/status in all IT related repositories • Demonstrated matrix management skills and a clear ability to work effectively in cross functional team environment including vendor and offshore teams • Manage and liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis, establishing credibility, appropriate communication, approvals and managing conflicts.
Knowledge and Skills required:
• Comprehensive experience in project management, including delivery of complex IT projects and services, on both in-country and above-country levels • Proven experience in managing virtual teams • Strong leadership and influencing skills • Leadership ability in managing programme including sub-streams and projects. • All-round mastery of across a range of IT areas in particular applications, data and technology • Understanding of key business and IT trends which may influence future strategies • Strong conceptual thinking, modelling, analytical and problem solving skills • Proven experience in a similar leadership role is essential • Excellent written and verbal communication
