We are currently looking for a Production Improvement Engineer to join our team for a 1 year limited tenure in Boronia.
The role will ensure that the manufacturing, packaging and process systems that support the supply chain are designed, installed, operated and maintained in a state that enables optimum compliant operation and the production plan to be met.
The main responsibilities include:
• Facility, services, equipment and process life cycle management focused on reliability and efficiency • Process optimization and problem solving using continuous improvement techniques • Provide high level project management, engineering and technical support • Project manage assigned projects ensuring they are optimally resourced and coordinated to meet project objectives, scope, timelines and budget • Manage contractors - ensuring appropriate training and induction requirements are met • Ensure that the company’s safety policies and procedures are adhered to by staff, contractors and visitors under your control • Take full account of environmental elements into consideration when planning and decision making • Ensure that documentation is completed in a compliant manner and that projects are handed over in a way that they can be fully managed and maintained by the owning department • Ensure all functions are performed with regard and compliance to GMP, EHS and Regulatory requirements
Knowledge and Skills required:
• Qualified professional mechanical engineer • Project engineering experience • Experience in high speed packaging of pharmaceutical or fmcg preferred • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Project • Working knowledge of GMP and continuous improvement practices
