Basic Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
•Broad experience in early phase clinical trials
•Evidence of innovation in clinical trial design
•Broad understanding of the principles of Translational Pharmacology
•Strong integration and problem solving ability
•Broad pharmaceutical experience
•Strong knowledge of both basic and clinical science
•A strategic and scientific mind
•Strong matrix skills
•MD and/or MD/PhD required
Details
Responsibilities:
•Integrating the Biopharm Unit TPDM activities through to C2MD
•Responsible for the C2MD strategy for assets they are involved with
•Ensurance of integration at every key milestone
•Build in ability to transition earlier based proof of pharmacology in preclinical and clinical areas
•Improve biology packages with a clear linkage from bench to bedside
•Increased communication among the various groups in Biopharm Research and key business partners
•Development of Clinical Plans for phases I and IIa studies in partnership with the therapeutic CEDD and for the design of studies such that the interpretation of preclinical and clinical data and selection of doses specifically tailored to biopharmaceuticals.
•Ensure clinical regulation input to pre C2MD biopharmaceuticals

Preferred Qualifications:
•Proven ability to use a combination of preclinical and clinical experience and apply a strong scientific rationale to clinical development, and in particular for early profiling of preclinical and clinical candidates and for obtaining early proof of concept/mechanism.
•Key member of integrated group that incorporates Translational Pharmacology and Discovery Medicine. In addition he/she will be accountable for the integration of biology, pharmacology, clinical immunology and clinical pharmacology expertise into the development of assets.
•An in-depth understanding of the biology, clinical pharmacology and therapeutic potential of each asset is needed.
