Description
Basic Qualification
• BS Degree with area of concentration in Accounting/Finance.
• 5+ years as a credit/collection professional or commensurate experience.
• Expert in PC based applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
Details
The Finance Analyst will perform the following:
• Overall financial analysis and risk management of assigned accounts with the ultimate objective of averting bad debt losses while working with the Field Sales organization to maximize sales opportunities.
• Determine credit worthiness within the bounds of sound and established credit policy. Establish and negotiate customer credit limits and appropriate terms of sale, prompting changes as justified by the customer’s overall financial condition and/or payment trend.
• Enforce company policies as they relate to credit policies and terms of sale.
• Perform daily review of customers assigned and expediently resolve delinquency/noncompliance issues.
• Advise & consult Field Sales, Senior Sales & Finance Management regarding customer credit and/or delinquency issues with the authority to approve and hold orders as necessary.
• Actively monitor customer compliance relative to GSK’s manufacturer coupon redemption policy. Investigate, address and resolve noncompliant activity.
• Attend and represent the company, on a periodic basis, at trade credit meetings to network and exchange credit/accounts receivable experience.
Requirements
Preferred Qualification
• Industry related credit/collections experience.
• Must possess solid financial/analytical skills.
• Experience working within Accounts Receivable system.
• Requires sound decision making skills in a fast paced work environment.
• Must be well organized and self-motivated.
• Must have proven negotiation skills.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must maintain excellent rapport with internal & external customers.
• Working knowledge of US bankruptcy code and antitrust laws.
