Description
Basic Qualification
Undergraduate degree.
5+ years work experience required with a focus in financial analysis.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize information from various customers and sources to project business impact.
Demonstrated ability to balance conflicting priorities.
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive analysis of numerous commercial and financial data.
Demonstrated expert problem identification and solving/resolution skills.
Experience to include knowledge of accounting, financial modeling techniques, practices and learnings.
Work experience to include budgeting, business analysis, auditing and management reporting.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and on multi-functional teams.
Details
Responsible for the coordination and creation of all business case evaluations developed by the marketing/sales teams appropriate input, review and approval at each stage of the process across multiple functional areas.
Specific responsibility for the financial evaluation of each case ensuring realistic assessments are made on both volumes and return on investment for the brand and company.
Evaluation of post event performance, creation of ROI library, to be shared with marketing and sales to assist in the future creation of events.
Provide input into the prioritization of all business cases based on their strategic and financial merit.
Report performance of new items in correlation to forecast and original basis assumptions.
Provide inputs for monthly avista model updates.
Ensure that the strategies of the Business Units and Account Teams are consistently analyzed and measured.
Support Account Teams and Business Units in the evaluation of incremental trade promotion opportunities.
Support cross-functional financial analyses between Marketing Finance Managers and Sales Finance Managers.
Work across business units and account teams to disseminate best practices, standard processes and procedures.
Build strong relationships with the Business Unit Management Teams and the Customer Account Teams.
Computer proficiency to design reports to communicate opportunities/issues for business unit management action.
Proficiency in knowledge of the business unit P&L’s including budgeting, firecasting and financial analysis.
Requirements
Preferred Qualification
Post graduate degree.
Demonstrated knowledge of GSK financial systems and processes.
Effective interpersonal skills to interact with senior customer group.
Demonstrated understanding of GSK Financial Policies & Procedures.
