Division - Diabetes Sales Inside-CE

Position Description
The Pharmacy Sales Associate is a member of an integrated sales team who works in partnership with inside sales personnel to process all Medtronic Diabetes products, and coordinate benefits for patients with diabetes. In this role, the Pharmacy Sales Associate will spend a significant amount of time transacting test adjudications for Medtronic Diabetes products through the Pharmacy Channel and becoming subject matter experts. Additionally, they will use influence and analysis to drive ancillary product revenue with the initial new pump shipment and maximize enrollment in automated reordering programs.

Position Responsibilites
The Pharmacy Sales Associate will act as a Pharmacy Channel subject matter expert for their assigned Region and will be responsible for:

• Meeting key performance indicators for sales productivity as defined by management to include:
o Testing adjudications by “pinging” all pending patients entered in the system by the Diabetes Therapy Consultant Team for use by the Diabetes Therapy Associate

o Driving revenue for ancillary products such as test strips in assigned region through sales coaching and benefit analysis

o Increasing percentage of My Supply Connection (MSC) enrollment within region

• Developing a well versed knowledge base of Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM’s). Including:

o Serving as adjudication help desk resource for Pump Order Sales (POS) and Supply Order Sales (SOS)

o Being an expert at Pharmacy Adjudication and working through rejection codes

o Understanding how PBM’s operate and what they offer to their clients

o Being an expert with the online tools PBM’s offer

o Uncovering challenges that prevent products from shipping through PBM

• Promoting and fostering positive relationships with various inside representatives including Diabetes Therapy Associate Supervisors, DTA’s and Managed Markets Payer Relations Analysts, Corporate Account Managers, and Trade National Account Managers

• Developing and presenting Pharmacy Channel activities for an assigned Region to the Pharmacy Sales Associate team and Program Manager

• Participating as a member of the Pharmacy Sales Associate team to identify best practices and procedures to implement across the team

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
• Experience using a computer
• Presents written information in a clear, concise and grammatically correct manner

Desired/Preferred Qualifications
• At least six (6) months experience within an Inside Sales Role in either Pump Order Sales or Supply Order Services
• At least one (1) year of sales or sales internship experience
• Basic knowledge of McKesson or other Pharmacy Adjudication System
• Ability to analyze and compute complex data algorithms and draw actionable conclusions
• Effective persuasion skills
• Ability to communicate and influence management with new ideas and different ways of thinking
• Previous experience and demonstrated success working in a high paced, goal driven, and results orientated environment
• Ability to multi-task and perform in a team orientated environment
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Presents written information in a clear, concise and grammatically correct manner
• Ability to communicate verbally in a clear, concise and effective manner at all levels within the business

Physical Job Requirements
