Description Title: Project Manager
Location: CA, Moutain View - NON SALES

Vaccine Project Manager Position Summary:
Project Manager (50% of time): Provide cross functional operational management to the Vaccine R&D teams. Will support the R&D Project Team Leader to drive development and execution of the integrated project plan. This includes, issue identification and resolution, risk analysis, contingency planning and decision making utilizing Project Management Body of Knowledge principles. Projects will span early stage vaccine research to development activities in support of corporate Product Development Team (PDT).
OPAL/OPX2 Subject Matter Expert (50% of time): Provide support for input and maintenance of Vaccine projects into the corporate enterprise system for project schedules. Will aid Vaccine management with appropriate reports and OPX2 schedules and scenarios as required. Provide training support to CA vaccine staff as required for implementation and ongoing project maintenance.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
-Works closely with the Technical Team Leader to drive the cross-functional, operational integration for the Vaccine projects from Research through Development process. This includes coordinating cross-functional activities and communications for the team and externally with minimal supervision.
-Ensures the team is tracking to approved timelines and drive team to risk mitigation strategies, if required.
-Educate project team members on the drug discovery and early development processes as it relates to MedImmune project governance.
-Coordinates interactions with corporate governance bodies to ensure programs have adequate budget and resources to support approved scope.
-Provide data to portfolio management to update project status and impact on therapy area and overall portfolio.
-Responsible for the current accurate project plan in OPX2. Works closely with project team leader and project manager to ensure plan in OPX2 is correct.
-Provide OPX2 report support to team and functional management as requested.
-Train and provide support to Vaccine staff as required on OPX2 functions.
-Vaccine representative for all corporate OPX2 implementation initiatives. About the Organization My company shares my

Position Requirements Requirements:
-Develops project information/communication plan with team and stakeholders.
-Ensures central access to key project documents, presentations and assessments.
- Coordinates team documents (such as product development plan, candidate drug nomination) at key milestone presentations.
-Central participation in development of strategic documents such as life cycle, project plan and target product profiles.
-Take vaccine project team plans and input to OPX2. Provide corporate project management with Vaccine OPX2 reports monthly or as required.

Supervision:
Meets requirements listed with minimal supervision Educational Requirements BA/BS in a biological science or equivalent work experience is required. An advanced degree (e.g. MBA, MS) is preferred.
Experience:
-Understands overall biologic/pharmaceutical product development process, including stages of development and role of different functional areas.
-Ability to influence team to resolve issues and manage conflicts.
-Excellent negotiation skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills for bridging between drug discovery, early and late stage development team members for negotiating timelines and collaborations.
-Detailed and analytical to find project plan discrepancies and interpret into OPX2.
-Must be professional, dedicated and detail oriented.
- Must be able to travel approximately 10% of the time.
