Position Summary:
Major Duties and Responsibilities (including supervising others):
The major responsibilities of this position include but not limited to the design, execution, and characterization of polyspecific antibodies, lead antibody discovery, technology development, as well as providing antibody project teams with required antibody expertise and tools to support MEDI’s therapeutic antibody programs. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge in therapeutic antibody field and should be well organized with excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills and able to manage several projects simultaneously.

Position Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: Ph.D. in biological sciences or related discipline
Experience: 5+ years of post-degree research experience in antibody/ protein therapeutics. The idea candidate must be independent, creative, and self-motivated. Must have hands on in-depth experience in recombinant antibody discovery, protein engineering, as well as biochemical and functional characterization of antibodies. Industry experience is strongly preferred and experience with high throughput screening is a plus.
Special Skills/Abilities: Lead antibody discovery by phage display or other display platforms. Antibody/protein engineering and characterization. Must be a team player with excellent communication skills.
Supervision: Required to supervise direct reports.
