Description Title: Production Supervisor (3rd Shift)

Position Summary:
Managing floor operations pertaining to the manufacture of biological based products..
Essential Job Functions:
Under the supervision of the Dept. Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for:
• Managing floor operations pertaining to the manufacture of biological based products..
• Knowledgeable of the current Code of the Federal Regulations (CFR’s) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
• Operation of equipment according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Perform Cell Culture process according to established Master Production Records (MPR’s) in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP’s).
• Complete manufacturing documentation per approved procedures. Includes reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy per established timelines.
• Act as a Qualified trainer of those with less experience.
• Ability to generate SOP’s, MPR’s, SPR’s and validation protocols for equipment and procedures used in the manufacture of biological based products.
• Managing production schedules, and production operations
• Direct supervision of production technicians. Includes preparation and delivery of annual performance evalutions for all direct reports.
• Able to meet all of the job functions of a Level 1 Supervisor. About the Organization My company shares my

Position Requirements Additional Job Functions:
Production activities include, and are not limited to:
• Investigating and resolving problems, and identifying potential issues and proposing process improvements through clear communication to Management.
• Completion of cGMP documentation according to approved procedures
• Performance and monitoring of all cell culture process steps, and (good aseptic technique, inoculum process, bioreactor, MF harvest)
• Interaction with outside vendors and senior management, as necessary
• Participation and/or leadership role in multi-functional project teams, as necessary
• Participate in helping to evaluate and establish potiental new interdepartmental procedures and practices.
• Other duties as assigned or identified

Assignments are received in task-orientated terms. Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and efficiency. Administers and executes policies and procedures that typically affect individual subordinate employees.
Supervisor Relationships
Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry level exempt employees. Meets the minimum requirements of executive exemption under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Operations Involvement / Direct Work Involvement
Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, ongoing operational tasks of organizational units.
Impact
Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results might cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of more resources.
Liaison
Majority of liaison is on internal basis with subordinates and supervisors at equivalent level or one level higher. Liaison normally involves specific phases of a project or operation. External contacts are infrequent and involve routine matters. Educational Requirements Typical Education:
