Position Description:
Major Duties and Responsibilities (including supervising others):
Provide high level and fast paced legal support for a variety of biopharmaceutical product related activities. Responsibilities will include legal advice and counsel to a variety of internal clients with a focus on the product pipeline, including clinical organization, global strategic marketing, manufacturing and regulatory affairs; actively participate in the review of investigator meetings, advisory boards, consultant meetings, arrangements with investigator sites, conflicts of interest, informed consents and patient recruitment material; work with medical affairs, strategic planning/marketing team, government pricing, reimbursement, and regulatory teams to help support the business planning for products; provide advice and counsel to clinical organization on clinical trial registry requirements; provide fraud and abuse and other legal support for contracting efforts of Legal corporate/transactional team; provide training for employees on various legal issues; provide legal support, advice and guidance to variety of other internal client groups as may be assigned.

Educational Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: J.D. from accredited law school and member of the bar of at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia
Experience: 6+ years of legal experience required, with a combination of law firm and in-house legal practice in biopharmaceutical industry strongly preferred. Minimum experience would include significant knowledge and expertise of either FDA (including GXP) or health care law; experience at a law firm, preferably with experience and expertise related to pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies, in particular with respect to clinical trials, patient privacy, sponsor obligations, and investigator relationships. Service as in-house counsel to a biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturer strongly preferred. Ideal candidate would have experience in the above areas in the context of prospective guidance/counseling, health care compliance programs, and supportive substantive role in health care transactions. Familiarity with PhRMA Code on Interactions with Health Care Professionals, industry standards for conduct of clinical trials, or related OIG, FDA guidance a plus.
