Our Health and Life Sciences Division is currently seeking a Systems Toxicologist/Biologist. This position located in Columbus, Ohio.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Establish and/or enhance Battelle’s national and international reputation in systems toxicology by effectively catalyzing, leading, participating in and presenting to influential science/ policy meetings and forums and consortia.
2. Lead the establishment and implementation of Battelle’s technical strategy in systems toxicology by:
•Conceiving and gaining buy –in for an S&T approach to leading edge science that results in the recognition of Battelle as a world leader in systems toxicology
•Identifying successful themes / technical approaches for capturing key business opportunities resulting in the creation of a substantial, client funded research program.
•Establishing a network of world class collaborators for the development and delivery of Battelle’s systems toxicology services. This includes Battelle’s technical groups (product lines), the National labs and leading universities.
3. Effectively mentor junior staff to grow their technical and leadership skills
4. In support of the business leader, contribute to the establishment and implementation of Battelle’s business strategy and success in those markets where systems toxicology is relevant. Enable business success by effectively engaging or presenting to client decision makers for major opportunities.

| Requirements |
|
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
PhD in Toxicology or other relevant field including: Systems Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Physics
Approximately 10 years experience with the following accomplishments and skills:
• Acknowledged international technical / domain expertise via publications / accomplishments in systems toxicology / systems biology or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to establish and secure multimillion dollar financial support for an emerging scientific field
•Demonstrated accomplishments in toxicology using a systems biology approach, including bioinformatics
•Demonstration of: strong presentation/public interaction skills, team leadership and relationship management skills, strategic thinking / business acumen |
