Description The successful candidate will be responsible for the characterization of protein biopharmaceuticals in preclinical/clinical development. The candidate will perform routine characterization assays, and assist in the development, optimization, and validation of a wide variety of new characterization assays. The candidate will be expected to work in a cGMP environment, to follow SOPs, policies, and regulations, and to perform routine lab equipment maintenance as required. The candidate will also assist in the preparation of SOPs and technical reports. The candidate may need to present and discuss experimental results at internal group/project team meetings. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced, team-centered environment, and collaborate and communicate with scientists from various disciplines within the company. Position Requirements Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience, preferably working in a bioanalytical environment in an industrial setting
Special Skills/Abilities: Candidate should have experience in methods of protein characterization (ELISA, Biacore, SDS-PAGE, western blots). Experience in development of immunological assays and antibody characterization is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills, along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential. The desire and ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced team environment is an integral part of this position.
Job Complexity: Job complexity is medium. The candidate will be expected to work on an assigned project, under the direction of a supervisor, and contribute technical skills/ideas.
Supervision: Supervision is required. Educational Requirements Education: BS degree or working towards BS degree in Biochemistry or related field
